Guest guest
Its interesting to observe the cholesterol lowering drug market is 100% dependent upon one thing. Public perception of cholesterol as an evil Villain. In particular the LDL cholesterol. They cast a Darth Vader image of cholesterol, while ignoring basic human physiology- the positive roles of cholesterol in human health. This act of vilifying cholesterol is THE FOUNDATION on which the statin drug market exists. Without this, the statin market would completely collapse. Guest guest
I agree, Bobby. I mentioned somewhere here, that is why as soon as a drug commercial comes on TV, no matter what drug for what condition, I immediately turn the channel or mute the sound. I no longer want to hear their rants, and then the chance of " rare " adverse effects. I think I read somewhere that the USA and maybe New Zealand are the only countries in the world that have Direct To Consumer (DTC) advertising for their drug industries. Most people are probably scared to death by the ads and think that if they ask for such and such a drug for their " condition, " they will be cured or helped in the long run. We know better.
