Hey folks,

I attempted to remove a foreign object today from the

ear canal; alas...was unsuccessful. Can I still bill

for it even though I wasn't able to retrieve the

object? I ended up sending the pt. to ENT.

Thanks guys. Happy New Year.

There is a modifier that you can add to the procedure for the foreign body removal that indicates you failed to complete the procedure, but I don't think anyone pays for it. KrisStart the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.
