if you are using the radio shack headset microphone model # 33-3012, which is inexpensive, $30, that should be just fine.that's what i use, along with a radio shack 900 mhz transmitter and receiver, for wireless dictation.if you have degraded recognition with a previous version of dragon medical, there are several ways to go, the first, and which costs nothing, is to defragment your hard drive, then do additional training, followed up by using the accuracy menu to analyze a selection, of say, ten notes.see if that helps for now.LLGraham Chiu wrote: A cheap headset microphone is not the way to go.
