Simple Presidential Question

Which President does everybody think is best for the future of family medicine and, hate to say it, but our future income, because in the end, we need to survive financially and enjoy out careers as well. Most have vague healthcare plans except Mitt Romney, who instituted a unique plan as Governor of Mass. Otherwise Obama, Clinton seem to just want to give out more welfare and cover more people, but not sure who will pay the primary care doctors for their plan. It's really not mentioned at all, anywhere. Most all talk about "prevention" but not our profession specifically.

I think primary care physicians would benefit from any politician who

wants to institute coverage for all people in the United States. At

some point, they would realize that there is not enough primary care

resources and motivation to do the job.

I strongly believe there is enough money in the system right now to

provide good primary care for every body-it is just wasted and

improperly distributed.(this includes unbridled greed by insurance

companies, hospitals, and yes, even physicians and patients.)

Looks like topic #2 for Rochester --

How can we redistribute the resources in the healthcare system NOW and provide care for all (and save primary care!).

There is plenty of money, and every country that comes close to providing good

care to all, has a robust primary care system. No one is talking about primary

care reform, and any scheme that does not includ this will fail.
