Guest guest
Coming to the fount of practical knowledge....Has anyone dealt with Avonex? I have an MS patient who wants to join the practice and get Avonex through me. Apparently, she has been getting it through Medicare Part B and supplement, from the only local neurologist -- who is closing up shop. She says her Medicare Part D program won't cover it. So, to help her, I guess I'd have to buy this ridiculously expensive stuff, find a way to refrigerate it, and hope the billing goes through. Any experience? Thanks. Guest guest
My pt self-administers and gets direct. Don't see why you have to get involved with the expense. See if you can arrange that through insurance. Guest guest
Thanks. She thought her Medicare D wouldn't cover it that way, but I think I figured out that it does. Crisis averted.
