I would certainly agree that the AAFP or for that matter any other

bureaucratic organization-imperfectly represents this group.

However, I would point out, to their credit,the AAFP in the past one

or two years has given representation " around the wooden table "

metaphorically to a number of members of this group (if not yourself

personally) to represent their views and experience. (And by

extension the experience of ideal medical practice). This

representation has occurred both in the journal's and at the

national meetings.
