Guest guest
yes, an inside joke perhaps, but also emblematic of some of the frustration and difficulty regarding organized medicine and our struggle here.not to flog a dead horse (my apologies, joanne)--apparently, aafp has a large carved oak table @ HQ in kansas.for a myriad of reasons, aafp inadequately represents what we do, and i have chosen to not join them.specifically, while many of us have difficulty finding health insurance for ourselves and our families, i'm sure the bureaucratic staff has benefits we can only drool over, and a fancy table to sit at, one which none of us could afford.i don't think any of organized medicine cares for and/or about us, rather, as a matter of fact, views us as a threat to big money medicine. To their credit, the AAFP is doing the right thing by "leaning" out the organization (we certainly believe in that here don't we?). > > Just an announcement that I'm leaving my part-time job with the AAFP. > They've done some restructuring and I was laid off.
