possible my LDL is 69 my HDL is 85

over wt patietns are always mad at me .For being little. I can't help it. I

TRY to eat bad... WHAT DO YOU KNOW? they say

of course if I were heavy i figure they would say " YOU DO NOT LOSE WEIGHT

WHAT DO YOU KNOW?

so I kinda do not think it makes any difference whether the doc is heavy

or thin.... a BMI is a BMI and the whole thing is very very hard for

people. I know .It is very hard for me to find size 2 clothes....

Re: Doctor, Heal Thyself

I wear a pedometer and ask to see the patient's pedometer. We do a

comparison.

I also ask them to bring in their last month's record of daily steps.

Why is a rheumatologist interested in exercise? Because patients with

inflammatory arthritis have greatly increased cardiovascular risks

...so I consider management of their diabetes, hypertension etc part of

the management of their rheumatoid disease.

My current BMI is 21.8 ( yes, Synapse calculates this for me ) ...

and it didn't get there by eating fast foods, and lying on a couch!
