But Barbara, what are the side effects? I know have flat feet from Vytorin, still have tremendous difficulty doing anything physical. My muscles were like brittle splinters while taking it at the end when I could no longer WALK. It damaged the myelin sheath in my brain on the nerves, it has done so much physical & mental damage that a 30 year marriage may end! This is no joke. I have spent thousands of my own money on rehabilitation. I just got thru weeks of restrengthening my shoulder blades & joints, tendons, connective tissue. You get one thing fixed and another needs attention. I am homebound to doctor's appointments. Just had bone spurs removed May 4th because the outside tendon shortened. Been thru hell. Last Rx was 11-20-2007. I have the bottle in case there is a class action suit. I had to fight the impulse to give up my life as i knew it. It has killed people, maimed them. If this new drug doesn't go to the brain, and doesn't melt your muscle mass, maybe I will try it. I just got my lab tests back from physical a few months ago and my cholesterol went from 280 to 238 for no darned reason! Did I get a pat on the back or a mention....no darned way! I am fed up with lies! My niece has just been accepted to the Pharmacology Program at UCONN. Maybe money will no longer be the only incentive for killing us due to managed health care and perks to the Doctors. Thanks for sharing. Maybe you found the magic bullet! Keep on searching. Questran is not a new drug. It has been around for decades. In the early seventies it was studied in the Lipid Research Clinics Intervention trial in men and had a small benefit in reducing risk. If you read my original email again you will see that the most common side effects are constipation and bloating. Questran stays in the bowel. It is not absorbed into the body so it is safe. You can think fo it as more powerful Metamucil.
