hi there,

I completely understand about the yoyo dieting! I think everyone in this

group have and may continue to have their share of it. Maybe try telling

yourself that for x amount of months, you will only commit to the IOWL program

when it comes to weight loss. During this time, do not look to any diet plans,

weight loss pills, etc. etc. I found IOWL podcasts last year but only recently

started seeing the wonderful benefits from it. IOWL WORKS. When you really

really open yourself to the possibility that you can lose weight without it

being hard and without counting calories, etc., you will be amazed!!

hope you have a great day!

relax with out alcohol but I have not seemed to be able to do it yet. Any advice

would be great. Thanks for the support.

One thing that really helps me when I want to break a cycle I'm in--like

thinking I need a drink or food to relax-- is to ask myself what I want instead.

What else would make you happy?

Would you be better off going to bed early? Reading? Listening to music?

Exercising?

Sometimes it's worthwhile not to relax--but to sit with the tension. At least

for a while.... To see if you can track down the source. Not just the surface

source ( " I had a bad day " ) but deeper levels ( " that interaction annoyed me " ),

maybe even to the deepest level ( " that made me feel like when I was four and got

yelled at for something that wasn't my fault. " )

I'm way over-simplifying here, but it's interesting the thoughts that float to

the surface if you let them....

Great response !  I am going to have to take that advise up!  I Like the

" what you want " compared to listening to what you " think " you need.

Have a great day!
