Guest guest
, that's lovely. Here's to finding something even better.... (I totally understand the " not anything I would ever let my friends read " feeling. Good for you, for overcoming that!) ________________________________ To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Wed, July 6, 2011 6:14:33 AM Subject: IOWL 176-Letter to Fat For some reason podcast 176 seemed to just click with me. It has inspired me to write a letter. I thought I would share because that makes it more real than keeping it as a note on my ipod. So here goes....a little nervous....not anything I would ever let my friends read....but I figure you all would understand.... Dear Fat & Binge Behavior, I have spent over half of my life with you. Every day, every night. You have helped me deal with the sadness and loneliness in my life. The worthlessness and numbness. You have kept me out of trouble. You have shaped my life. You have been a constant friend and companion. Obviously, you have served a very important role in my life. For this I want to thank you. I would not be who I am without you. Thank you for 15 years of dedicated service. You have been loyal. But I have decided to go in a different direction with my life. I have a child to raise and nurture, a business to grow, and a life to live. So now, you are free to go. Sincerely,

Guest guest
Wow! Love that letter. It sounds like everything I might say; I'm not up to podcast 176 yet, but I am considering Trauma Release download. > > For some reason podcast 176 seemed to just click with me. Guest guest
I originally wrote this letter in the notepad of my iphone. I make an effort to read this when I am going into a situation that I am most likely to binge or buy stuff to binge on (having the food around is half the battle) So for me, I am a really healthy eater until about 3:30pm. I know that if I am going into a store, and I am hungry there is pretty much a 95% chance that I will be leaving with a large bag of doritos and if that happens, there will be 100% chance that those doritos will be gone by the end of the night (and no I will not share with the kids!) So before I enter the store, I stop and take a quick read of my letter. I think it really help me a lot! And it also stops the crazy binging need. I also read the letter sometimes as a reminder to love myself. I guess I need a reminder sometimes. Since my letter, I have been doing really really well. I had probably been binging every other day, and since writing this letter I have only binged twice! Yeah!! For me, it was also great to get it out of my head and onto paper (well, screen) so that it can stop swimming around in my head and be serious, concrete words on a page. Have a wonderful day!!! mm ________________________________ To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Mon, July 18, 2011 11:30:25 AM Subject: Re: IOWL 176-Letter to Fat > > I love this letter... and think that I am also going to write a letter as >well.. thank you for the inspiration! > > Angeal~ > So when you write such a letter, what do you DO with it? Guest guest
Hello people, i think the letter to fat is a great idea, i once wrote a 'Dear Fat' letter and was thinking of actually writing it as part of a book project i am hoping to embark on. Thank you for the idea to put it on the phone and read it, that's really encouraging especilly seeing it has limited the amount of bingeing that occurs.  Thanks  Unami To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Tuesday, 19 July 2011, 7:13 Subject: Re: Re: IOWL 176-Letter to Fat  I originally wrote this letter in the notepad of my iphone. Guest guest
, Thank you for sharing this with us. The idea of having this with us at all times, like someone else mentioned is great. Here is my letter to fat: Dear fat and binging behavior, First of all, thank you. You have always been there for me. I could always rely on you. Your intentions have been to take care of me. With that being said, I have found a different way to take care of myself. I would love for you to join me in this journey. All of the effort and energy we spent on binging can now be put into loving myself. Here's to a fun, kind, and easy journey to becoming a naturally slender person. Love, > > For some reason podcast 176 seemed to just click with me. It has inspired me to > write a letter.
