Welcome !

the parks & rec department of our city recently installed an ultimate frisbee

course at one of the parks - it looks like a lot of fun & pretty challenging,

too!

Subject: New to IOWL

Good Morning,

I am a new listener to IOWL. I have decided to start listening to the

podcasts from the beginning after listening to some of the more recent

podcasts.

A little bit about myself, I have been overweight since about grade 6.

Recently, I've started up with ultimate frisbee and it has helped me

work towards what I want to achieve. There is still a lot that I want to

achieve but I'm hoping by changing how I think, I will be able to

achieve the results without looking back.

Thanks!

Welcome !

I am new to the group as well! I started listening a few weeks ago. It's made

such a dramatic change in my life! How old are you? I'm in my 30's.

I keep kind of stopping and starting, so I still feel pretty new. I had a

long drive yesterday so l listened again to episodes 1 and 2. Plus, my

husband got a chance to hear them too. Episode 1 really gets me. When I

think about what I'm doing to myself I start to cry. I have high

cholesterol and the idea of having a stroke and leaving my kids just breaks

my heart.

I'm in my mid-30s as well. I would love to find a buddy or something to

help me keep my motivation going!

I feel the same way Amelia. (btw I love the name Amelia!) There's no better time

to start than right this second! Listening to the podcasts really keep me going.

I listen to them every night while I'm falling asleep. Sometimes I fall asleep

while listening, sometimes I listen to a few episodes a night. I have so many

lines of support in place is kind of ridiculous, but so far it's working! I

would love to be a buddy! I'm enjoying the journey....

Hi Colleen,

Thanks for the welcome. Are you sure the course is for ultimate frisbee?

Usually, for ultimate, it is just a field that is set up. I have a feeling the

course that was recently installed was actually a disc golf course - which is

also pretty challenging.

Hi Terese,

I'm currently in my 20s. I believe I should go back and listen to all of the old

podcasts seeing as I started on episode 174.

:-) Cool! I'm having a (fairly) healthy breakfast of cheerios right now,

lol. Found my new favorite form of exercise last night so I'm really

excited about that!

Because of our evening plans I have to do fast food tonight, but I'm

committed to getting a salad!

What's the exercise that you found you like? I like going to the classes at my

gym.
