Guest guest
I've always been pretty clear about my away from motivation, but less clear about my towards motivation...something about me in a red bathing suit at the beach. But I have a new towards motivation. I want to be strong, big (in the inner sense), take what I want. My image for this is , goddess of the hunt. Running through the forest with her bow and arrows, her dogs. For me, I hunt music with my bow and violin, and I run on the trail, I gather wild foods, I surf. To me this is all the opposite of being " good " , counting calories, being small. What is your towards motivation? Mimz
Guest guest
I want to stay as healthy as possible as long as possible, because I think it would be cool to be in good mental and physical shape when I hit 100.... the same year England (and France??) will be commemorating 1000 years since the Conqueror. in 2066.... LOL! And since I'm not even half way there, I need to be taking good care of me NOW. And even if I don't live that long, I'll be increasing my chances to enjoy whatever time is given me. (OK, that's the answer that jumped to my mind today! Some days I think more in terms of making sure I can still wear my favorite dress to a friend's wedding or something! LOL!) ________________________________ To: Iowl <insideoutweightloss > Sent: Fri, June 10, 2011 10:15:07 PM Subject: Towards motivation I've always been pretty clear about my away from motivation, but less clear about my towards motivation...something about me in a red bathing suit at the beach. Guest guest
my towards motivation? how about the blissful and contented state of knowing u have fed your body what it needs and when it needs. Moving towards TRUST (which, for me, is the opposite of calorie counting).. after yesterday's binge, i am trying very hard not to WRITE any numbers down. thanks, Avie > > > I want to stay as healthy as possible as long as possible, because I think > it > would be cool to be in good mental and physical shape when I hit 100.... > the > same year England (and France??) will be commemorating 1000 years since > > the Conqueror. in 2066.... Guest guest
Hey, Avie, Any chance of restating that in the positive? What do you want instead? I am trying very hard to focus on hunger signals? I am trying very hard to focus on feelings of satisfaction? I am trying very hard to focus on healthy choices? Or even without the " trying very hard " ... I am focusing on food choices that leave me feeling good longer.... ________________________________ To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Wed, June 15, 2011 2:32:41 AM Subject: Re: Towards motivation ....after yesterday's binge, i am trying very hard not to WRITE any numbers down. thanks, Avie
