Guest guest
Oh, do I recognize that " but it might not be there later " argument!!! Took me ages to learn that it might actually be there later if I didn't eat it now.... (At home, at least! LOL!) >________________________________ > >To: insideoutweightloss >Sent: Thursday, August 11, 2011 5:07 PM >Subject: My Inner Conversation > > >Â >There were cookies setting out at work this morning. Guest guest
thanks for sharing - I love this! it's like the conversations I'm always having with my 'inner child' (the one who never reasons about free or co workers or you can always get more!) I've also read a couple of place this week about the price of 'free food' and it really got me to thinking -- even though the bread they put on your table at a restaurant (or the chips at a Mexican restaurant) isn't free in terms of cost to your health, calories consumed or it's effect in making you eat less of what's to come (protein and/or veggies) which would probably be better for you than the chips or bread). I'd never thought about 'free food' that way ... and the cookies in the break room (or any pastries that folks here bring like donuts or cakes) - are truly the same - free but with many strings that I don't need! ________________________________ To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Thursday, August 11, 2011 7:07 AM Subject: My Inner Conversation  There were cookies setting out at work this morning. They looked good, I wanted a cookie so I had a cookie. But then, I wanted to go back and get another cookie. My desire for that other cookie is gone.
