When I get motivated to ride, the best time is in the morning before I go to work. It's hard to find riding partners at 5am...<g> There's a local group that rides on Wednesday and Friday evenings, but I haven't joined them yet. > And thanks for turning my statement around.. that was awesome! Aw, shucks... :-) > (I want to complete a triathlon in 2012) That would be awesome! I can't do that though, since I can't swim. Of course, maybe by 2013 I can *learn*? Guest guest
I didn't learn to swim until I was 22 ... I refused to go to a swimming class with a bunch of 5 year olds ... and our local rec center had a " super chicken " class and you had to be 18 or older to go ... it was good!! It's another one of those confidence builders (water still scares me a bit but I know I can dog paddle & float now with the best of 'em!) and would be something good to cross off the " can't " list! I'm 48(and overweight), so I already feel self-conscious in swim trunks. It would be very difficult for me to feel comfortable in a swim class. But if I can somehow get in better shape, I might think about it more. Eldred -- Tagline on backorder...
Guest guest
If you wear a swimcap and goggles.. no one will know who you are! It's like a swimming superhero costume. But I get it. I feel the same way. Corinna
