Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I made an exciting discovery this morning. In looking at my treadmill, it struck me that the " arms " of the treadmill stick out just like a captain's chair. Sure enough - I hoisted myself off the deck and it functions just like a captain's chair! LOL, I can't believe I've had my treadmill for almost 10 years and it's only now that I realize this. o_O I haven't done a jump rope workout in a while, so that's what I did today. On a side note, I keep needing to relearn that when I workout, I don't have to do the " workout to end all workouts. " Not every workout needs to be done at maximal effort, and giving myself permission to do an easy work out really got rid of the pressure that I was putting on myself. I ended up NOT doing an easy work-out, but what is important is that while I wanted to do more, I stopped when my body said it had enough without feeling lazy or undisciplined. Today's strength exercises were: - push-ups - leg raises on my new " captain's chair " :-) - bench hops - L-raise using the captain's chair - I only got my legs up to about a 45 degree angle (not 90), so that's a goal to work towards - jump lunges (did 9 today) - plie squat with a 15 lb dumbbell - hopscotch jumps up and down the hallway with a band around my ankles - bench press - lateral raise and hold for 30 seconds - tricep dips with my feet stretched out and balanced on a stability ball - hammer bicep curls Then I did some balance exercises on the board and ball, and finished with 20 minutes of walking. Hope you all have a great Friday!! With love, Yuna
