Guest guest
Welcome.  I would suggest you start at the beginning and listen to current podcsts concurrently. The first 10 can be life changing. Of course, for me it seems like it is a constant cycling back and changing again and again!!! LOL Though, I have made so much progress and when I do circle back to unhealthy behaviors those behaviors are shorter lived and now I typically have some distance from myself and my behaviors, even when I am engaged in them.  Livingston ________________________________ To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Sunday, December 4, 2011 6:07 PM Subject: I'm brand new  I just discovered this evening--I've preordered her book (can't wait to read it!) and listened to her very first podcast. I am excited to learn how to have a normal relationship with food and my body. I suffer from something Marc (my favorite nutritionist) calls a " High Fact Diet " . I read WAY too many diet books. LOL!!! I am so confused by all the different methods of eating -- I stress out at meal times. I have no idea what a balanced diet is. No carbs? No grains? Calorie control? No whites? No animals? Yes animals....I've tried it all. I've gone to Nutrition school, I've studied all the " anti-diet " philosophies. I still have no idea what to eat. I sure hope I can recover from all this craziness and just be normal. --AND of course, lose about 20 lb in the process. Thanks for listening!! Guest guest
welcome. I totally agree with . Start at the very beginning and find a big thick notebook so you can write down all your thoughts, ideas, notes, etc. I too feel like I've just got something down and before I know it I've slipped back into old habits and have to self correct again. However, it does seem to get easier and binges are few and far between and I rarely eat junk food nowadays. I know what you mean . I've been there. After listening to for awhile one aspect that stuck out for me was eating foods that make me feel good over time. For me it's lots of veggies both cooked and raw and protein foods like yogurt and cottage cheese, turkey and chicken and fish. Also nuts, whole wheat bread and dark chocolate and black and brown rice and barley. Finally my go to food is a big bowl of veggie soup. I make my own pot every ten or so days. I chop up all sorts of veggies and add 1/4 cup barley and 1/4 cup black rice. When it's done I run it through the blender and make up individual servings for the freezer. Nice thick soup full of every color veggie in the food group! This is a life saver on busy days! Good luck on your weight loss journey. Guest guest
Welcome ! And that veggie soup does sound yummy. I bought an immersion blender just so I could make pureed soups-makes it very easy. I'm going to try that one! xoxo Author of: *Full-Filled: The 6-Week Weight-Loss Plan for Changing Your Relationship with Food-and Your Life-from the Inside Out *Now available for pre-sales at Amazon<http://www.amazon.com/Full-Filled-Weight-Loss-Relationship-Food--Life-/dp\ /1451641214/ref=sr_1_1?s=books & ie=UTF8 & qid=1319731434 & sr=1-1>, and Noble<http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Full-Filled/Ren-e-s/e/978145164121\ 9?r=1,%201 & if=N & cm_mmc=Simon%20 & %20Schusters-_-k296575-_-j12871747k296575-_-Prim\ ary>, and BooksaMillion <http://www.booksamillion.com/ncom/books?isbn=1451641214> Renée s www.insideoutweightloss.com <http://www.reneemethod.com> Twitter: @stephensrenee Facebook: facebook.com/reneestephensfanpage Featured Teacher in the powerful documentary film " The Inner Weigh " http://www.theinnerweigh.com/cmd.php?af=1264806
