It's like making a bowling shot in a pressure situation. You know HOW to execute the shot, but it may take 5 units to do so. If you use 7 units due to nervousness, then you don't have units available to make a quality shot. So then the trick is to lower the effects of that nervousness to free up units for the task at hand.
