Guest guest
Did anyone else come to the realization at the end of Chapter 1 that you don't really know what your dream is? It seems like a simple enough question, but when I really started to delve into it, I realized that though I have the pieces - I want to move towards a more active, healthy lifestyle where I can eat until I'm full and then stop - I can't quite put the whole picture together. I know that says that it may be a fuzzy picture that you have to work on bringing into focus, but it feels like I'm out of step. I don't know what I really want. I feel like I can't focus in on my dream or my dream self. I realize that it's part of the process, but I was just wondering if that's something that anyone else dealt with at the beginning. Thanks all!

Many people have grown up being told to 'stop dreaming'. After years of that, many of us DO. How do we get back to being a 3 year-old, where ANYTHING is possible again...? Guest guest
Part of my challenge is that I have worked very hard to reduce or eliminate fantasy from my life. Since I have been working at this from 2004 it is now uncomfortable or near impossible to let myself go into daydreams. It is dangerous territory.  Carlton Larsen, Ba, Bgp Freelance Musician 426 Pinehouse Drive Saskatoon Sk S7K4X5 ________________________________ I'm thinking it may be more common than we realize. Guest guest
Yes! i kind of have this problem - it's like when you were asked as a kid " what do you want to be when you grow up? " . hated that question. (hi by the way - am new and also starting out) > > Part of my challenge is that I have worked very hard to reduce or eliminate fantasy from my life. Guest guest
Thanks, Eldred. That may be what I need to help me - the realization that even this - I'm not alone. It just feels so odd. Seems like when you ask other people what their " dream " is (regardless of what it pertains to), they have an answer or at least part of one. I've used visualization as a tool in the past and I can see tiny pieces, but the big picture is much more of a challenge. I'll try to keep in mind that I'm not alone and work through the exercise again. Thanks much! > > > > Thanks all! > > > > > > I'm thinking it may be more common than we realize.
