Guest guest
Welcome ! I'm just getting started too. I signed up for 's class and am already behind in the homework. That needs to be done today! Kim ________________________________ To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Saturday, February 25, 2012 8:30 PM Subject: Re: hello from germany/ new to the group  Hi everyone! I'm new to the book and the program. I just read Anne's note on her recent experience in reading chapter #2 and felt the same way! After being so hard on myself for much of my life...it felt good to know that truly my intentions for myself were loving ones. This is a great place to start the process. Embracing and accepting myself where I am today and who I am today makes me look forward to moving ahead tomorrow! If anyone has any advice for a beginner, please do let me know! Thank you all for your inspirational stories and thoughts! Sincerely, > > > hey all! I'm anne from germany and this is my first post at the group. my struggle with eating started when I was 10 years old (I'm 31 now). it influences my career, my private life, friendships and my marriage - and this really depresses me. I bought the book and finished chapter 2 this morning - the final meditation made my cry, as I figured out, that my inner " yes " and " no " attitudes basically care for me. > > this findings overwhelmed me and I wanted to share them - as I'm member of the group for about 10 days, this is my first - and hopefully not last - post. > > > > greetings and love from anne > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Kim! Thanks so much for your note! I'd love to hear how you make out with the class! I was very tempted to sign up, but can't for financial reasons just yet! However, the podcasts, book and book assignments are really helping me a lot! Can I ask...when did you start? I started about a week ago! I hope your path with this goes great! I'd love to hear about your progress! Guest guest
The class started last Mon. so tomorrow starts week 2. You basically follow the assignments in the book and get input from other people. has a call time every week, but it's while I work. They do download the calls so you can listen to them. Good luck! ________________________________ To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Sunday, February 26, 2012 11:44 AM Subject: Re: Re: hello from germany/ new to the group  Hi Kim! Guest guest
HI Anne! Just remember what wrote in the book about the airplane--remember she said that when an airplane gets off course--it doesn't give up and just land or go back--it continues on forward (not in a straight line) until it reaches the destination--that's what I'm holding on to as I start this process too and it's helping a little. In one of her podcasts tells us to forgive ourselves by taking deep breaths in and saying " I forgive myself for..... " and then finishing with I love you anyway--this also really helped me this weekend! IT's a process they are all telling me!--one to learn from and enjoy! Keep up the great work! That's so cool that you got 10 days in as you did! Make today number 1 in your next 10! Sincerley, ________________________________ To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Mon, February 27, 2012 6:46:01 AM Subject: Re: hello from germany/ new to the group  hello again and thank you so much for all of your welcome-greetings! my weekend was full of binging and bad feelings so that I almost forgot my intention. I had the strong belief that I would never reach my goal of being slender. so that I could even eat. and I ate. this happend shortly after my first post here. do you also have these hard setbacks? I had stopped binging for 10 days and I was so happy! this weekend ruined all that. regards, anne > > > hey all! Guest guest
We all have those setbacks. Use each one as a learning opportunity. ________________________________ To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Monday, February 27, 2012 5:46 AM Subject: Re: hello from germany/ new to the group  hello again and thank you so much for all of your welcome-greetings! my weekend was full of binging and bad feelings so that I almost forgot my intention. Guest guest
Anne, I love the airplane metaphor--an airplane from New York to San Francisco (or furt, for that matter) is never on course. It is always a little off, and makes corrections over the course of the journey. You may have veered off course, but as long as you do some self correcting now--you'll still be heading in the right direction. Celebrate the 10 days that you were binge-free. Hold on to that great feeling. You'll have it again soon.
