Guest guest
Hi all, I am new to the group and have been listening to the ISOW for a couple of months now. I love how pushes me to think about the root causes of why I do what I do. Having lost and regained pounds a number of times now I am looking forward to finding a way to make permanent change. A little bit about me. I am a married working mom of two. My parents have recently moved to my new hometown in the North East (US) so I am officially living the 'sandwich generation' life. Caring for aging parents and 'tweens takes most of my time, but I trying to make myself more of a priority. I've come to realize that if I don't take care of myself first I cannot take care of others. So, here I am. Overall I am looking not only to loose a few pounds, but to build a new perspective of myself, my body, and food. I am dead tired of feeling bad about the way I look. I want to feel good about myself. ALL of the time not just once in a blue moon. And I am tired of the cycle of extreme food foucs & calorie counting to loose weight followed by weight gain when I stop counting calories. I want a holistic and healthy perspective of food and eating. Hopefully this will be the start of some long lasting change. Thanks for listening! I'm glad to be here. -A.L.
