I'm really enjoying the journey. , I don't think restaurants serve big portions 'just because'. They do it because people like to feel they get good value for their money. When customers get more than they expect, they're happy. Plus, if one restaurant doesn't overload their plate, their competitor will. So for the same price, you get more food at the other place. Guess where all the customers go? I seriously doubt that people will start saying, " give us less food for our money! " <g> Eldred -- Raising money for Make-a-Wish! Guest guest
That's true, I understand it's economics. But don't you believe that to really stop the obsesity rate in the US, the restaurants are going to need to play a part.... OR, eat at home. Just because you fall on your face, doesn't mean you have to stay there. To: insideoutweightloss From: epickett@... Guest guest
My point was I'm not counting on the restaurants to do that.... Eldred > > That's true, I understand it's economics. Guest guest
Welcome! Restaurants in Canada do not serve the same quantities as in the US for the most part.. Canada still serves huge portions, though! I like the redos, too.. They have been my most useful tool.. Corinna
