Guest guest
Oh, Kim, I was just thinking along these lines. I feel like I have to hide everything I do for myself. I won't exercise when anyone else is home. I never talk about new eating behaviors I want to start or new healthier foods I am adding to our meals. The worst part is that I won't journal because I have some very negative, hurt feelings to write about, and I am so afraid that someone will find out how I really feel. I've opened up here a little because I am absolutely sure that no one knows that I even listen to the podcasts, and that I am reading the book. I wish I could offer some help for you, but at least you know that there is someone else here who has this fear of self-revelation. I'm not sure who would bother to look anyway, but I figure the point of this is to put some of our " stuff " out there. I'm pretty self conscious about people knowing about some of my " stuff " . That sounds like an issue in itself! Have a great day! ________________________________ To: insideoutweightloss Sent: Wednesday, February 22, 2012 8:32 AM Subject: Re: new  > Thank you! I have a question...I am a member of spark people and if I google my username my page comes up as well as blogs I've written. Most of what I say here I'd like to keep private from my outside life as well as my ex husband! > > I believe that you have to be a member of the IOWL group to see any past posts. Guest guest
Marcia, sometimes the delete key is my best friend.... I can pour out the words, select all, and... delete. This might be a good way for you to start journaling, until you're ready to share. You may be amazed at what you discover when you let the words flow. >________________________________ > >To: " insideoutweightloss " <insideoutweightloss > >Sent: Wednesday, February 22, 2012 6:24 PM >Subject: Re: new > > > >Oh, Kim, I was just thinking along these lines. Guest guest
, that is brilliant! I usually just compose stuff in my mind instead of on paper or computer. I will try typing it out and erasing it! Guest guest
That's good to know Marcia. I haven't even told my husband I'm taking the class yet. I'm sure he'll support me, but if it was anyone other than me taking it he would say it's weird. I have things I'm afraid to write down too, because they are things I've never had the guts to say out loud to anyone so I worry about someone seeing what I write. That must mean it's something we should do. I feel way out on a limb taking the class, but I figure nothing else has worked long term. I may as well try it. ________________________________ To: " insideoutweightloss " <insideoutweightloss > Sent: Wednesday, February 22, 2012 10:24 AM Subject: Re: new  Oh, Kim, I was just thinking along these lines. Guest guest
Hi There, I'm just starting week two. I've never experienced a healthy relationship with my body, though I did give up on dieting a while ago & feel I'm getting closer. A few years back I had a health crisis & was hospitalized. I was already heavy, but after the crisis I was put on meds which made me gain even more weight! I am probably 80lbs overweight at this point(I don't weigh myself). Writing everything in a journal seems to be helping. I find myself much more mindful about my eating/exercise habits. I look forward to being part of the support community here. It is so important to feel like I'm not alone! Thank you! Melody

Guest guest
Welcome! Enjoy! Eldred > Hi there - > I'm new to the group (... actually, I joined a while back but I guess I was still in the " thinking about it mode " ). Now I'm ready to dive in. I've started working through Full-filled and have done the exercises from chapter 1. I'm excited to start this journey and work through my emotional eating issues which have been with me for at least the last 20 years. > > > > ------------------------------------ > > Copyright 2005-2007.
