Guest guest
That's a good story man, trust me I remember being depressed and it was frustrating. I promise you this though, I would take that frustration multiplied by a 100 times if I could take it all back. I'm slowly recovering now, hopefully I can go back to normal but it's a regret I'll always carry with me. Don't take medicine for your brain, its too complicated for a bunch of over eager idiot docs to cure with harsh chemicals. Exercise, believe me it works, its the only real medicine available to us. > > About 4 months ago I was suffering heavy psychological distress and went > into psychologists and psychiatrists. A psychiatrist prescribed me lexapro. I bought it, but before I took it I went on to check its side effects in all my sources of information (I'm a med student, almost finishing graduation), when I read about PSSD on wikipedia of all sites... It raised a level of suspicion so I kept looking in and found a few (very few) articles that discussed the issue. I decided not to take any risks so I didn't use the medication. I discussed it with my psychiatrist (and professor) who had never heard about it and gave him a couple of articles (which admittedly are weak articles) forhim to take a look. I haven't had the time to talk to him ever since, and see what he thinks about it... I'm still dealing with my issues, one step at a time... Anyway I thank the community for raising awareness of the question, maybe I could be another victim, but I wasn't. For that I'm truly grateful...
