Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just want to second that the re-do and pre-do technique are quite extraordinary. I had several social engagements this week, and in the past, those have led to overeating episodes for me. This time, the night before I used the " pre-do " method and thought about how I wanted to feel in the situation and what I would do about eating before the events occurred. The day of the events, I really followed through and felt so great. So to the member who has upcoming travel, I suggest a " pre-do " before the trip. I'm gearing up for three weeks of family events non-stop. In the past, I've eaten my way through these times because I feel a great sense that I have no control over anything, especially my time, and I use eating to cope. Well, every night I'm working to visualize a very different three weeks. One in which I'm calm, I enjoy my time with my family, I don't try to control what/how/when everyone eats, and I eat in a way that nourishes and honors me instead of abuses me. I have about three more days before it all begins, and I'm hoping that intensely visualizing this new me will work! Best,
