Guest guest Posted June 2, 2012 Report Share Posted June 2, 2012 I have known about IOWL for a long time now but it's only been just recently that I've found myself in the place where I have really WANTED to make these changes. Several years ago I joined a weightloss program and shed 60 pounds however once I stopped having to be accountable (checking in once a week) the pounds slowly packed back on. I'm a binger and an evening grazer..... until recently. Where I work we're allowed to have iPods and headphones so I'd been listening to music. One day, on a whim, I decided to listen to the IOWL podcasts I had on my iPod from long ago. I wasn't " doing the homework " ... I was just listening to podcast after podcast all day and occasionally something would hit a note with me. It started with me losing my appetite for the tortilla chips I loved to snack on for my morning break... then it went to the (free) soda in the lunchroom tasting too sweet so I stopped helping myself to a can during my breaks and opting for water. Before I knew it I was putting my fork down before I'd finished everything on my plate. The other day I shocked my husband by stopping half way through my fries and couldn't finish my hamburger. Hah Hah... now HE'S interested in listening to the podcasts!!! Now I'm ready to listen to the podcasts when NOT working and actually doing the homework.
