I'm learning to re-train myself to think of " treats " as other things - so if I " deserve a treat " I take myself for a walk, do some gardening, or play my guitar. However, today I had a doc's appointment and discovered that my IUS had fallen out (eek!) and they had to remove it entirely and fit me with a new one. Now I'm stuck with the period pain that goes with it and my normal " treats " don't help if all I want to do is curl up on the couch, eat doritos and squirm from the pain. I'm ashamed to admit that that's exactly what I did today. D'oh! Does anyone have any techniques for replacing the normal junk food " treats " with something else when you're feeling under the weather?
