Yes Sea ,

I have to avoid all forms of gluten. wheat, oats barley and rye. It's

in about everything. I cook fresh meat, veg. and eat fruit. and the

health food stores now have alot of choices for gluten - free people.

And now with asthma I've been avoiding milk, butter, cheese , ice

cream... But I did find a creamer that is non-dairy for milk. Made

from soy. With this diet you have to read , read , read lables. all

the time. As food companies keep changing their ingredients.

Hi Becky,

Do you have a Whole Foods market near you?

Have you ever tried Rice Dream and Soy Dream ice creams?

They are soooo good!!!

My mom is celiac and was getting hidden gluten in some foods. We finally tracked it down and she's feeling better. She buys gluten free flours and cereals at Kroger. abbj2002 wrote: Yes Sea ,I have to avoid all forms of gluten. wheat, oats barley and rye. It's in about everything. HI ,

sorry to hear your mom has celiac.

I thought I'd just pass this along. I recently found out by getting

sick that KRAFT has changed their ingredients and are putting gluten

in sliced cheese, mayo ect.. some times you have to contact the

company as not all ingred are listed. or when changes are made, it

can be confusing.

Hi Becky, Thanks for the tipoff. I will keep my eyes open and warn mom to watch out for problems as she eats cheese. Celiac is such a hard disease to cope with. I'm glad that there are others out there who can offer tips and advice. abbj2002 wrote: HI ,sorry to hear your mom has celiac.I thought I'd just pass this along.
