Hi,

<<What form of CoQ10 do you take? I used to take a sublingual

tablet--can't remember the no. of mg. It seemed to help, but was expensive and I

stopped taking it. I've never had Herx reactions from anything I took..

I am taking softgetls now. I started with a sublingual form that had to be

prescription compounded. (Blue Cross had a contract to pay for prescription

drugs, but they didn't pay for this or for a couple of others... rant available

:-) )

Then I used the " chewable " form, but held it under my tongue to make it like

sublingual. That went off the market I think - anyhow, softgels are cheaper and

seem to be as effective.

I never had a Herx from anything - prescription or supplement - up until I

got onto the anti-Lyme antibiotics & antifungal. Even other antibiotics combined

with the antifungal did not give me a reaction.

Hi,

I get most of my stuff from Vitanet <vitanet.com> I'm pretty sure.

Puritan's Pride also sometimes runns a buy-2-get-3-free deal - they have one

going right now. With that deal, 5 bottles, 60 softgels (10 months at 1 a day),

200 mg Co-Q10 is only $92 + shipping. The Puritan's Pride brand is pretty

dependable.

Hi ,

I take CoQ10. I don't know how much I am absorbing, though, because

of the intestinal situation.

I don't know if you are aware of this -

there is a new form of CoQ10 now,

ubiquinol (sp-?)

It is supposed to be much better.

Hugs,

Alana

Hi Alana,

I just bought a bottle of the new form to try! I've been taking CoQ10

for about a year and like it. I actually added it because at the time I

was stuck trying to get off prednisone for a few months and my blood

pressure was up, probably from the pred. I'd read it might be helpful

for that, so I added it in along with trying to watch the salt. It

worked! I got off the pred, but continued to take it and my blood

pressure is the best it's ever been.

My asthma is doing much better too, so I wonder if it is helping it too!

(although I've changed medications enough that it's hard to tell exactly

what has made things better with the asthma.) That's why I wondered if

anyone else had tried it for asthma. I also feel like I have more

energy-I was really tired all the time. Although I think being tired

kind of goes along with not being able to breathe well and having

allergies. Thanks for the reply!
