Guest guest
Does anybody have experience with Claritin and Zyrtec? What is the difference between the two, and does one work better than the other? I have been taking Claritin (store brand), but have never tried Zyrtec. Thanks for any answers on this. Guest guest
Most pharmacists I have spoken with say that Claritin (loradidine) is the weakest antihistamine on the market. They all agree that Zyrtec is better. With a better antihistamine. there is more of a risk of drowsiness. Guest guest
Hi Steve, Is that non-drowsy? 6, 12, or 24 hour? Guest guest
I don't like Claritan. I was happy there is Zyrtec OTC now, I bought some. I used to take it and the only thing I can say is that if you live somewhere like Arizona, it can make your mouth feel dry, otherwise I used to say it gave me a whole new lease on life. Guest guest
Hi Dianne, Isn't it amazing how much cheaper the store brand medicine is? Does the cetirizine make you drowsy? I was afraid to buy it without getting some opinions first. Guest guest
I have been reading the posts on Zyrtec and other antihistimines. I'd like to add that while I know allergy shots are not for everyone my allergy shots have given me a new lease on life. I wish I had done it years ago. I used to cough from a SEVERE dust allergy and other less severe allergies all winter long (furnace) and got repeated infections from all the junk in my chest. For the first time in my life I am not coughing all winter. For the first time in about five years I am not sleepin gin a chair from coughing all winter. I would encourage allergic folks to consider it. My quality of life is so much better. I used to live on antihistimes. Now I don't need them after just 18 months. Never miss a thing. Guest guest
Hi MT, I am SO jealous! LOL! I went through years of allergy shots - can't remember it helping any. Guest guest
It's non-drownsy, not sure how many hours it works for. My symptons are always random and severe.... sneezing like 100 times in a row or constantly blowing my nose when i wake up. I have not figured out whats the cause, but this product clears me up right away till the next episode, which is usually the next morning(in spring time). and its cheaper than prescription. Thanks, Steve Kostro TJ , Inc. Guest guest
I am now taking Clarinex D, it is available by prescription & I have had no problem getting the insurance company to pay. It is a twelve hour pill and seems to be very effective. Might be worth checking out. >> > > > Does anybody have experience with > > Claritin and Zyrtec?> > What is the difference between the two, and > > does one work better than > the other?> > I have been taking Claritin > > (store brand),> but have never tried Zyrtec. > > > Thanks for any > > answers on this.> > > > Alana> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > __________________________________________________________ > > > Need to know the score, the latest news, or you need your Hotmail®- > > get your " fix " . > > > http://www.msnmobilefix.com/Default.aspx > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > _________________________________________________________________ > Need to know the score, the latest news, or you need your Hotmail®- get your " fix " . > http://www.msnmobilefix.com/Default.aspx >
