Guest guest
I had my first asthma review with the nurse yesterday. I was given a small spacer to use with my steroid inhaler to try and prevent the side effects I've been having, and she said that if it doesn't improve then they'll try me on a different type. I was told that tehy may also need to increase the dosage, as I've suddenly started having to take my blue inhaler more over the last few days, which I was told could be because I'm coming down with somethin (I've felt like I've a cold coming on for the last few days, and my flatmate (also an asthmatic) has just developed a cold), or that I've become sensitised to the amount of steroid. I've also been prescribed a new blue inhaler as the old one was not making a difference, though I have been advised to try that with teh spacer too. The one I now have is a Salamol easi-breathe. Has anyone used these before, and can tell me how to work it? I needed it when I was out yesterday, and ended up having to ask my flatmate how to work is as she's had that one before. She told me to take the top off and use it in the same was as a Ventolin inhaler, but the destructions don't say to take the top off, neither does the demo on the asthma uk website, and that instead you just breathe in, but I didn't feel like I was actualy getting anything out of it then... Jenn Hill Tha can tek t'lass outta Yorkshire...! Don't brand me, don't classify me, don't tell me what to wear. I'll be who I want to be, and I'm proud to be me. Sent from Yahoo! Mail.
