Guest guest
When my asthma bothers me, I cannot drink hot chocolate, or anything with milk in it. The milk makes more congestion in my lungs. I am not allergic to milk...there is just something in it that causes congestion, especially when I have colds. hugs, Cindi Radachy wrote: > Hi all, > > The discussion about coffee reminded me about another drink that is > very helpful to stop asthma problems--hot chocolate. > > I HATE coffee, so when I'm having asthma trouble, I brew up a nice > warm cup of hot chocolate, and it usually helps...at least a little! > I'm not sure why exactly (the warmth, the caffeine, something else?), > but it works! Guest guest
I find my comfort with a cup of tea! Deb Hi all, The discussion about coffee reminded me about another drink that is very helpful to stop asthma problems--hot chocolate. I HATE coffee, so when I'm having asthma trouble, I brew up a nice warm cup of hot chocolate, and it usually helps...at least a little! I'm not sure why exactly (the warmth, the caffeine, something else?), but it works! I've never actually used it during an attack (as it's always difficult for me to swallow anything), but for those persistent problems, it seems to work well and help me spread out my emergency medications a bit. Just thought I'd share for other non-coffee people out there. There is an alternative! Happy New Year! Guest guest
Hi , Interesting. Could be the polyphenol anti-oxidants in the cocoa. As long as it is working for you - that's what matters.
