Guest guest
Both your Free T3 and Free T4 are quite low in their ranges. You most likely need more Armour. Is she giving you an increase? Is she testing all of your sex and adrenal hormones? If so, that is a good thing. vanessa romero wrote: Hi! I am new to TX (about 6 mos.) and am on Armour. I see Dr. Dina White in Sugar Land. I went in today for some follow-up labs but am wondering if someone can help me interpret my initial labs results. Guest guest
Those are really low. Did you, by any chance, have a ferritin test run (storage of iron) or any other nutrient tests done? How were your red and white blood counts? help w/lab results > Hi! I am new to TX (about 6 mos.) and am on Armour. I see Dr. Dina White > in Sugar Land. What tests would these be? I have 4 pages of lab results.
Guest guest
I don't think ferritin but she did run lots of other tests. Can you be more specific as to which ones I should look for in my results? > > > > Those are really low. Guest guest
These look low, what symptoms are you having? What is she like? I've seen an ad for her. Kate At 06:14 PM 3/6/2006, you wrote: >Hi! Guest guest
Estradiol 18L pg/ml (range 19-528) Testosterone, Serum 46 ng/dl (range 14-76) DHEA-Sulfate 239 (range 45-270) Cortisol 15.5 (range 3.1-22.4) this was PM -- blood drawn at 15:58 I don't see progesterone or random cortisol. Do these mean anything in conjuction with my thyroid labs I posted earlier? I guess is there more out of whack than just my thryoid or should I be concerned about getting thryoid straightened out first and the rest will follow? Thanks, Jan replied: > Is she testing all of your sex and adrenal hormones? If so, that is a > good thing. > > > Thank you for your input. What tests would these be? Guest guest
All of the hormones interract with thyroid. Your estrogen seems quite low, but she only tested estradiol. It actually converts back and forth with estrone, which should also have been measured. The PM cortisol is a legitimate test. It just depends on when your blood is drawn. It is generally best to begin treating all hormone levels at the same time. vanrromero wrote: Estradiol 18L pg/ml (range 19-528)Testosterone, Serum 46 ng/dl (range 14-76)DHEA-Sulfate 239 (range 45-270)Cortisol 15.5 (range 3.1-22.4) this was PM -- blood drawn at 15:58I don't see progesterone or random cortisol.Do these mean anything in conjuction with my thyroid labs I posted earlier? Guest guest
Your Free T3 and your Free T4 are very very low. If Ferritin is low (storage form of iron), then it can and will affect how your body uses your thyroid hormones. You really need the ferritin done, but it is also obvious by these tests that you are hypo. The TSH is not what I'm referring to on this testing. What is the cause of your hypo? What are your red and white blood counts looking like (CBC)? Examples are MCV (Mean Corpuscular Volume), MCHC. Many people who've been chronically hypo are iron anemic or even have B12 and/or Folic Acid Anemias. Re: help w/lab results > I don't think ferritin but she did run lots of other tests.
