Hi Carolynne and welcome to the site. I am happy you found us. I do have

info on a Dr in NY called Ahn that I have been hearing things

about that she is good. I went to Dr Feng in Ohio for my explant and lift

and she is very good, I don't personally know much about Dr Ahn but I think

that she might be a good option for you if you are unable to travel to Ohio.

Here is her info give her a call and see what she says about your particular

case and please let us know about her, as I just recently got this info

Dr. Ahn

150 East 77th Street

NY, NY 10021

1-212-717-8860

Ok I hope that this helps. I will write more in a few, I need to take care

of something first.

Love

That is great, wow god must be working in our lives cause I am always

looking for new Dr's and this ones name just came up over on the

explantation site, one of the girls over there was telling us that this is

her surgeon, I am so glad that she is close to you, I hear she is an expert

at removal en bloc wich is of course how you want them taken out.

I have so much more to say to you, girl I know that this is scarey trust me

I have been there, did you read my story? it is in the files section, under

explant stories.

Anyhow I want to tell you that you can get better and that you will look

good after explant, of course everyones aesthetic results are different but

you can expect to look good, it will depend on your breast tissue etc, me I

think I look ok, not perfect but better than I did beofre implants for sure.

I am healthier too, before I could hardly function, I mean I was so ill, I

was dizzy, my head was screwed up all the time, I was just so ill. Now I am

leading a full and active life, I still have some issues 16 months post

explant, but so much better than with implants, it is a long hard road, not

all easy I will be honest, it takes patience, faith, and hard work and

determination to get better, but you can do it, once you get the implants

out you can really focus on detoxing and purging your body of the toxins and

getting your health back. I have lots of info on detoxing and also can

recomend several sites, esp Dr Kolbs site is great and she has a silicone

immune protocol that you can start right away and then really work on after

explant too.Her site address is www.plastikos.com

The most important thing is to have faith and also to have support and a

good surgeon is really important it sounds like Dr Ahn is really good but

like i said I don't know much about her personally , I believe that she is

supposed to be in the same league as Dr Feng so that would be really really

good.

Please let me know more about your situation and your symptoms and

everything else, I really care and want to be here for you.

Things will get better trust me you are doing the right thing ok!

Write me back and let me know ok

Love

To :

do you know of any dr. near or around North Carolina that does

explants. I don't mind having to drive several hours. I have tried to get

an appt with Dr. Feng but I feel that is making things more difficult

than it has to be. It is hard for me to coordinate for my mother to fly in

and watch my kids so that I can than fly out and see Dr. Feng. Plus

insists on me having an ultrasound with their recommended dr. before I see

Dr. Feng. And I know that my implants are not ruptured or leaking. This

would extend my day needlessly in Ohio and really screw up my day as far as

getting back in time to my kids. And this is only for the consultation.

For some reason said if I was having the operation she could fit me in

whenever I could come, but for some reason just b/c I am having a

consultation only certain dates are available- the first one not until

mid-June.

I am still going to try and work with (unfortunately she is the one in

charge of appointments so I have to) to get in to see Dr. Feng, but I would

really appreciate it if you know of someone else close by so I could have a

back up. I went to see a dr. last week that I was not that thrilled with.

Thanks

,

Hey girl, have not heard from you in awhile, gosh I am not too sure about

that area, I just found this other Dr in NYC, let me check around and see

what I can find out for you. I know of some in Florida, is that too far from

where you are?

I will let you know. I am not quite sure why is being difficult, I

never had a problem getting in to see Dr Feng, however I also just scheduled

surgery and consult together I never went there for just the consult, I

don't see why that would be a big problem though. Why do they want you to

have an Ultrasound? Is it because you had the silicone implants before? Do

they think that there could be residual silicone? I guess considering how

cautious Feng is I can kind of see why they might want to be careful of

that. Did you get to keep your old silicone implants? Did you get your op

reports to see what exactly your Dr did with your replacement surgery?

let me check what I can find out about Dr's in that area and let you kow ok.

Take care

Dear :

Hi. That is too much BS to go through. You should be able to get an untrasound in NC and take the results with you.Screw that. Besides, you want a vertical mastopexy and Feng does not do these. The doc I saw at IU, says anchor mastopexies are obsolete and that the better PS (esthetics) use vertical or L mastopexies..anchors are OUTDATED and not aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with an anchor job--I don't want to see you in the same boat. I'd go elsewhere. See if Melmed does verticals. I will check with my friend Marie, she knows a great PS in NYC.

Good luck--hang in there.

I want to tell you that Dr Feng does beautiful vertical mastopexy's I would not have gone to her if she wouldn't have done this style of mastopexy as I was very very cautious when I wanted the implants out to use a really good ps who only performed these type of lifts, didn't you see my pictures? SHe did a really nice lift on me, and many ladies have used her as well and have great results, plus she is so experienced at removing implants which is very very important to us with implant illness. I think if you can get to Feng you would be very happy with her, even if it seems like a bit of a hassle, I am sure there are many reasons why they prefer to do the utrasound themselves. However I am trying to help you find another closer PS you could at least consult with. Like I have explained I know it may seem like I am promoting Feng but it is from my experience only that I do this, cause frankly I have seen her work, plus she is experienced she has removed 1,000's of implants and that is so important when chosing a PS to remove implants.

Dr Feng does not do anchor lifts at all, she told me that these lifts are not used by her period.

Hope that cleared things up.

Love

Dear :Hi. I will check with my friend Marie, she knows a great PS in NYC.Good luck--hang in there.-Marie

I want to tell you that Dr Feng does beautiful vertical mastopexy's I would not have gone to her if she wouldn't have done this style of mastopexy as I was very very cautious when I wanted the implants out to use a really good ps who only performed these type of lifts, didn't you see my pictures? I do believe that you will be happy with Feng, I wish it wasn't so far for you, but I want to help you in any way I can and will keep looking for a PS for you that is closer to home.

How are you doing anyway, are you still having the hair loss and other symptoms?

Please let me know how things are and keep me posted as to anything you find out about other ps's cause I would like to be able to tell women if there are great PS's out there that are willing to help us and that believe in our issues with implants.

Thanks , Take care and good luck with your future explant.

Hi :

Sorry, your pics are not clear to me. It looks like you have the scar under the fold of the breast (as does Jeena). I have that too (though mine looks like shit--I don't have the fine scars like you have) and I have been told that I have an anchor mastopexy.A vertical mastopexy is like a "lollipop" shape--just a vertical line with a circular cutting around the areolas. Forgive me if my eyes can't see the pics clear--Internet photos are kind of fuzzy. Also told me Feng does the anchor cut. Sorry if I created confusion. I just want to get the word out about vertical vs. anchor. Anchor is not a good choice--my opinion.

Take care.

-Marie
