Guest guest
Ok I know Flovent is an inhaled steroid, and mainly it works on your lungs, but has anyone else noticed they are hungry with this? It could just be the day, but Ive been really hungry all day long. AnnGas prices getting you down? Search AOL Autos for fuel-efficient used cars. Guest guest
Ann, I AGREE WITH YOU. When I first went back on Flovent a few weeks ago. I actually ate double meals at one time. My husband was SHOCKED and AWED! The third day he said, "honey you really can't be hungry are you?" I told him to listen to my stomach grumbling. I called the pharmacist (I THANK GOD for each and every pharmacist at Kroger's, they are truly ANGELS) and I was told yes, Flovent could cause the munchies because it is a steroid and all meds can change your metabolic structure which means they can make you really hungry or sick at your stomach. I'm still hungry. I'm overweight already and I'm trying to really watch how much I eat. Try eating real small meals/snacks more often. It helps me to know I'll get to eat something soon. My stomach doesn't feel or sound like it's eating through my skin either. You are not alone. Know I'm hungry too. Here's to pigging out! Guest guest
One year I was horribly sick with asthma and pneumonia and hospitalized for Thanksgiving. When I got home on MAJOR amounts of steroids, I was sooooo hungry! I made my poor hubby make me a full turkey dinner and I ate 2 platefuls. Geesh! First turkey he ever cooked too! Turned out very nice. Lol! He was VERY understanding and I was VERY emotional. Oh yeah! And Hungry! I've figured out now I have to drink lots and lots of fluid and eat little meals. Especially while on steroids, but boy, oh boy, do I ever get hungry when they up the dosage on me! Kathleen > > Ann, I AGREE WITH YOU. When I first went back on Flovent a few weeks ago.
