I dont take anything herbal but Ive found that if I feel myself getting

congested and I take Mucinex, it appears that I can fight off the cold.

I failed to do it in December and I got sick as a dog. If I can keep

myself decongested, I appear to fight off the cold much better.

I feel your pain in getting bronchitis 2 or 3 times a year...but up

until I moved to Florida, the last 3 or 4 years I did pretty good with

it.

Hi! I take Mucinex 2x a day along with my Advair 500, Duo-Neb for the nebulizer, albuterol rescue as needed...still very filled up, even after a 10 day course of Levaquin and a course of prednisone. Grrrrrrrr, very frustrated, but have been given a ton of info from everyone here...thanks again! I don't know if this will help you but I had a lot of mucus causing me

to cough a lot. I was thinking of taking Mucinex for my asthma.

Instead I visited my pulmonary doctor in Brooklyn.I have built up a

friendship with this doctor ever since he cured my apnea. He diagnosed

a bronchitis.

My doctor gave me Avelox antibiotic and Foradil aerolizer as well as

nebulizer, etc. This medicine has really stopped the buildup of mucus

and alleviated my symptons.

HI , How long were you on the Avelox? I was on a course of Augmentin and another 10 day course of Levaquin with no significant improvement. Am seeing the pulmo today after school, and will inquire.... I have been only 2 days on avelox and I got my life back. I can

breathe. You must have insurance each pill is $13. you need 7 to 10

pills for 7 to 10 days treatment.
