With storm systems moving in, do any of you notice your pfn's drop? I've

notice the last few nights (we've had severe thunder storms roll through

every night since Tuesday and even again now) anyways, My pfn's dropped

back down into the yellow zone. We have the AC back on but was wondering if

you all noticed anything similar. Thanks a bunch!

You brought up a good point, in that many people fail to take into account that lung illnesses aren't only ticked off by allergies, but also extreme heat, or cold, or changes in such.

Terry,

We had a severe storm here today and my pfn's dropped in a HUGE WAY!!!!!!!!! !!!!

I think it has something to do with the barometric pressure, humidity, dampness, mold and my dr. says rain always stirs up the pollen. That's what I think bothers me. Plus, if it gets really steamy after a storm, the heat makes it hard to breathe.

Take care of yourself and get those pfn's back in the 500's. It always make me smile when I see your post and how excited you are when your pfn's are high. It gives me hope my pfn's will be this high sometime.

Hugs,

Lou

Mine have been consistently in the high end of my yellow zone for the past week now. Im not sure if its the weather, or factors at work (we have pneumonia & bronchitis going around both staff and residents), or if its just allergies in general. Ive been sneezing and coughing more too..but not coughing to the point where its an attack. Normally I havent had any sneezing until the past week or so. Its not the pollen counts b/c according to pollen.com, the levels here are very low.

To all who posted about this. I am always learning more about the asthma and what causes the ups and downs of the peak flows, I have to say when I looked back at the chart, I did notice that each time outside of a few weekends ago when it REALLY dropped that it was storming out or a storm was in a near by area. I've been keeping track every day since May 16th. When my pfn's are down and storms are nearby or on top of us, I document that, If the pollen count is high etc. Trying to figure out a pattern. The banana's along with additional water and trying to eat better (that's my biggest issue, I'm not one who eats big meals and tend to skip meals because I'm not hungry or so busy with the daycare children I don't think to stop and eat unless my stomach is talking to me.
