Guest guest
I, too, chose to go to Dr. Feng - even though it was more expensive then the others I had considered. I, too, have no regrets. The reason Dr. Feng's a little more pricey, is that she has her own completely staffed, operating room facilities and equipment. Her operating costs would justify the extra cost, in my opinion. My sis in law is a registered nurse and in management. She went with us on the day of my surgery and was amazed at Dr. Feng's facilities. When we came back, she exclaimed to me " I just don't see how she can afford that place. Do you KNOW how expensive it is to have your own operating room that is fully equipped for all situations, as hers is??? I just don't see how she does this... " I said " well, she does a lot of surgery and her prices are pretty high. " She said " I still don't see how...you just don't know how costly it is to have a facility such as hers. I am SO IMPRESSED. " I had never thought about it until she made those comments. Most surgeons must use other public hospital and O.R. facilities, and I would think their overhead would be a lot less. I would think that Dr. Feng's insurance fees would also be much higher. Anyways, I liked the fact that she had the FREEDOM to do what she believes is best and it was the best surgical experiences I have ever had - and I have had many. I woke up in her recovery room, with her holding my hand. When I was nauseated, she used pressure points to relieve my nausea. I felt she cared about me, and had never had any surgeon be there to minister to my needs following surgery. Perhaps there are other surgeons as caring and skilled as Dr. Feng, but she was the right Dr. for me and I owe it to her to give her the praise she deserves.
