The baby had another attack last night that meant doses of oral steroid along with the inhaled steroid he already takes 2X a day and albuteral/atrovent mix and then albuteral every other dose every 3 hrs. He was up most of night but is sleeping now so I don't know if I will have to have him admitted to the hospital today or not.

To those who have a history with their asthma. Do you still have carpeting in your home?My son, 14 months, has NO allergies that were picked up on tests. But I do realize that dust is an irritant to anyone.

Our home is 5 yrs old. Shoes are not allowed on carpeted areas. The main floor is 75% hardwood, 25% carpet. The bedrooms are all carpet on the 2nd floor.

The dog, a schnauzer, is not allowed on carpeted areas or ever upstairs. And since these bad attacks no where near the baby and the baby did test negative to dog allergies.

We have a Dyson vacuum. I vacuum 2 to 3 times a week. We have a 4500 sq foot home so it's a job. There is a hepa air filter system in the baby room, and an allergen electric air cleaner installed on the ducts by the furnace.

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?????Is removing the carpet going to help at all? I will do anything!!!
