Guest guest
I am not really very clear on what is going on with your situation but I would have to suggest that you might want to just get the tissue expanders out and maybe not replace them, esp if finances are tight, but again I am not clear on your situation, did you have some kind of breast reconstruction or something? let me know and in the mean time, if you don't already have health problems your are so lucky! I would still try to get those things out though. Guest guest
Hi again and I wanted to say that I welcome you to the group, gosh I have had a hard week myself and have not been on line as much as usual, but really hope that some others will also respond to your post. I want to know more about your situation, I am not that sure what you get tissue expanders for other than after a mastectomy, do they use them for other reasons as well? I feel that you are in a really tough spot with these things in you and having a rupture, it sure sounds tough, also I know the money thing is really hard too, when I first started thinking about explant I didn't think I could afford it either, and getting a redo with new implants was def not an option for me at all with my illness, so I just had to borrow it from my parents, which sucked, but what else could I have done? Have you talked to a PS ? How long can you leave a ruptured thing like that in your before it becomes dangerous? I am clueless here but I would think that it could pose some serious risks, however like I also said before I bet that if are not sick now, then you have a great chance of not getting sick, but why take any future risks if you can get them out now. Listen I want to welcome you to the group and hope to hear more about your situation and that I can be of some help to you if you need info on surgeons that do realy good work, I have some names etc that I can pass along to you. Bless you ----- Original Message ----- From: " angieandjesse " <angie.nicholson@...> < > Sent: Friday, May 03, 2002 10:41 AM Subject: Rupture/Leak > Hi, > I'm Angie. Guest guest
-Marie has a really good point I didn't even think about that, I hope that if you have insurance you will look into them possibly paying for this, as it sounds like that might be an option for you. Hope to here from you soon. Love ----- Original Message ----- From: perlesetlacet@... Sent: Saturday, May 04, 2002 4:18 PM Subject: Re: Rupture/Leak Hi Angi:Welcome. I'm sorry to hear about your dilemma.Do you have health insurance? If so, they may cover this. I agree with , you must somehow get to a PS. What city do you live in?Take care.-Marie
