Guest guest
Hi , I've had tremors since I got sick. First started with 'spasms' in my lips and cheek area of my face. Now I have tremors down to my hands and feet and have been diagnosed with Restless Leg Syndrome and Periodic Limb Movement (RLS & PLM). The tremors in my extremities came after being on Effexor for a few months (a year prior to being diagnosed with RLS and PLM). Since stopping Effexor (more than 3 years ago) I still get tremors. I thought they were associated with low blood sugar (as I have insilin issues) but find that its another warning sign that I'm doing too much in a day.. even if I wake up with them I know that I need to rest. Another suggestions would be to get your vitamin levels checked. Magnesium and Pottasium effect muscle spasms. My nutritionist stated to take calcium and magnesium (glycinated is better on the stomach) 1 hour prior to sleeping as that combo is " nature's valium " . Hope some of this helps you! Guest guest
Hello- I had random jerky movements all over my body. My hands still shake. Even though there isn't much about it in any literature on fibro, I have known many people with fibro to have spasms, muscle jerks and tremors. The muscle jerks stopped when I was prescribed neurontin. I was diagnosed with Periodic Limb Movement Disorder. That doesn't make much sense to me as the muscle jerks are during the day as well as at night. I still have muscle spasms in my back when I stand or walk. The muscle jerks were so bad that I couldn't sleep at night. It seems to me that doctors don't know much about this symptom and fibro. Good luck with finding treatment for your tremors Margaret
Guest guest
, My neurologist also recommended I take B-12 daily. It has helped my RLS especially. Since my grandfather and father had bad tremors, I inherited some. I also take propanolol for them and it helps a lot. It is a generic for Inderol. Effexor gave me blinding migraines. Guest guest
Marie, I take spring Valley B-12, 1000mg-2 of them at bedtime. I take Mirapex for my RLS but the B-12 seems to help the Mirapex be more effective. And I take 80 MG of Inderol for my hand tremors that seems to help a lot.
