Guest guest
Respected Dr Gupta Sir, I am really proud of this women power and also men who supported them. During our annual functions at Wardha, we used to have debates. Once there was a debate that " There is always a woman behind a man's success " . We (and I think whole staff) enjoyed the debate. I don't remember who won, " for " or " against " . Now my life experience has taught me, that we can not say that woman is behind man's success or man is behind woman's success, but both have to support each other and then life is successful. There are certain limitations with ladies...when they want to do what they really like. I was highly impressed (as all MGIMSites) by basic teachings of our college and Badi Bahanji. I got interested in Public Health, then called Social and Preventive Medicine, when I was posted at PHC and subcenter during my internship. But, I could not make a career in PH. The reason, I got married early and doing post graduation in SPM was that I will be visiting/ staying in rural areas. I could not leave my small children although I got admission in AIIMS but did not join and did DGO. Now my children are grown up. My son is working as Financial Analyst and daughter is doing BSc Economics. I feel this time is mine. I did Diploma Community Health and then joined MPH. Now I have completed all the courses, practicum and am going tomorrow for capstone project. I am proud to say that I am going to graduate in June 2008 with MPH degree at the age of ...a little more than half century (I am the one who came with Dr Jobanputra\s daughter and met you in Medicine OPD, and you commented " I don't recognize because you are not like you used to be " ) My salutes to all my teachers Parvin Ansari '1971 The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone. - Harriet Beecher Stowe abolitionist and novelist (1811-1896) Women power in Wardha Times of India Online... worth your perusalhttp: //timesofindia. indiatimes. com/Cities/ Woman_power_ rules_in_ Wardha/articlesh ow/3041424. cmsRavin '
