Guest guest
Hi Jane, Yes, I live in Melbourne - , so you can now say you know 3 Australians from 3 different States, I don't cope well with the hot weather either, but in Melbourne we do have the 4 seasons, not like in Brisbane that is more tropical, but Brisbane is a 2000 km from Melbourne and Sydney nearly 1000 km. As you can see we have a bit of a distance between us all. I'm very happy that you contacted me and if you ever come down under my doors are open to welcome you. Cheers from down under
Guest guest
Good Day Mate, LOL We should see how many from Australia are actually on this site. I am in Brisbane and the weather absolutely affects my CFS etc. When I was on holidays in New Zealand my health was so much better-mind you when you are on holidays it is a different mode as well-less stress. Guest guest
It would be very interesting to see how many are from Australia. I'm actually considering moving there, believe it or not, but am concerned about the weather. I don't do very well in the heat, and Sydney is the area I'm considering ...... any thoughts? Doesn't sound promising from what I'm hearing so far....Let me know and Happy Holidays to all! Guest guest
Hi, I lived in San Diego for 32 yrs before moving to New Jersey in 2001. I had been diagnosed with CFS/FM and osteoarthritis among other things since 1991. I honestly felt I was getting better the last few years I was in Cal. Was getting out more etc. At this time after almost 6 years here in NJ, my health has deteriorated unbelievably. I now spend a lot of time in bed, rarely go out and have very little use of arms and legs. Incidently, I love to read but was having so much arm pain and couldn't hold the mags or books up. For any that have same problem (just a suggestion) my dear husband went around the corner to a music store and bought me a stand for sheet music and it works great. Anyway, give me year round warm weather any time. Praying we all have a better New Year and thank all of you for allowing me the good fortune to find this group. I don't post but have gotten so much info and benefit of so many, many postings. God Bless!
Guest guest
I'm so sorry to hear this..........I mentioned in another post, I wonder if the environment/season we have always enjoyed the most in our " previoius " lives, is what we do better in now? If your body was accustomed to the warmer weather, and now, living in NJ, you have stronger changes of season, that would be harder on your body, do you know what I mean? Say, by the time you have adjusted, the season are changing and you just keep going thru that cycle. My girlfriend in FL does much better in the warmer weather, but I believe she has a stonger FM component than I do. I more the CFS side of the disease. I also know the pain can get worse in the winter/cooler temperatures, and with you having not only the FM, but the Osteoarthritis too, that would be extrememly difficult in the colder, damper weather. Is it possible for you to move back to SanDiego? I sure wish you the best and I, like you, have found amazing people here, everyone in the same boat just paddling as fast as we can! Guest guest
I went to getting books on tape, then books on cd, and since Christmas, I now have an iPod nano where I can listen to books on it in MP3. Try www.audibles.com. They have a pretty good deal if you go through a lot of books. God Bless you. > Incidently, I love to read but was having so much arm pain and > couldn't hold the mags or books up.
