Guest guest
Kathy-- I'm glad you found this group. Others will have far more info about preemies and PMG/lissencephaly. My little guy was born more or less at term. The horror stories are hard to read, but they don't represent everyone or even most people's experiences. Quinn, at 28 mos., is happy, is on meds that work well for him, has lots of therapies (feeding, speech, physical, occupational, neuro- developmental, Special Ed, vision), makes progress on his own trajectory, and is *happy*. His neurologist comments on this every time we visit because Quinn's smile engages everyone and compels them to reply in kind. I'm so sorry you and your family are feeling so lost. It's a horrendous amount of information to take in and deal with, plus the major adjustment of expectations on has for one's punkins..... The enormity of it all is, well, enormous. You'll find lots of kind words, support, suggestions, and info from experienced parents here. Hugs and blessings to you all -- especially your sister (from one mama to another). You have my prayers. mom to
