Wheelchair being denyed by insurance

Hello everyone,

I haven't posted in a really long time but I wanted to get some

advice. My son Mason is 3.5 years old and is wheelchair bound. He

needs a very specific chair because he cannot hold his head up. He

has 2 chairs a kid kart and a giraffe chair, both of which he's had

since he was one years old. Mason's PT seems to think that he's

completely out grown his giraffe chair and he sits horribly in it.

He is ok for now in his Kid Kart but he will out grow it very soon.

His PT tried ordering a new chair to replace the giraffe chair and a

stander that he out grew and insurance denyed both!! I would like

to get a stroller type chair and something similar to the kid kart

but bigger and the stander for Mason but obviously cannot afford

them if insurance keeps denying them. I was thinking about adding

Mason onto his fathers insurance and trying to get them to pay for

these things. I also am not sure exactly what chair is best for

Mason. Does anyone have any advise on how to deal with the

insurance and/or any chair siguestions??

Thanks,

Chrissy
