Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am interested to know if other children with BPP have trouble blowing. Ethan is 3 1/2 and has been working with his speech therapist for about a year now on blowing without much improvement. I just wondered if this was something your children have experienced or overcome. Guest guest
My son has BPP and is affected a lot in his oral motor skills, he does not blow or suck through a straw, we even tried the pre-horn which will make a noise whether you breathe in or out. He just cannot get the lip closure or use his toungue the right way. Guest guest
My son is exactly the same as J.'s son. The lip closure and just isnt' there. My son also has CP so his trunk isn't strong, which causes him not to be able to blow very well. _____ From: polymicrogyria [mailto:polymicrogyria ] On Behalf Of ramsdellgirls Sent: Sunday, July 06, 2008 9:45 PM To: polymicrogyria Subject: Blowing Hi everyone, I am interested to know if other children with BPP have trouble blowing. Guest guest
can not blow or suck out of a straw or sippy cup. He can drink out of a bottle, but not a sippy cup. . .confusing. Maybe because the bottle fits in his whole mouth? I always wonder if he will ever be able to blow out birthday candles? Oh well, if not, I will have to come up with something else to do for him on his cakes that he can do for himself.
