Guest guest
Hi All! I just recently bought, through an estate auction, a w/c van. YEAH!! I read sometime ago that someone didn't have to pay their land taxes because of this. Our land taxes are due in Feb. and not paying them right now would be great! If anyone knows anything about this please let me know. Thanks Dianna
Guest guest
Hi Dianna, We also recently bought a used w/c van and it came with two invoices. One for the actual cost of the van and one for the cost of the conversion. The conversion cost is a deductable medical cost on our Federal Income Taxes and locally at the California DMV we only paying registration on the cost of the vehicle.........not the cost of the conversion. The DMV law does differ from state to state. Our wheelchair van was converted by a company called AMS located in Georgia. They always provide the two invoices. Hope this helps some.
