Sharon,

My son has reflux and we tried both of the meds that

you mentioned. We took him off of the reglan because

it did not work for Owen and there are some

neurological side effects. You may want to speak with

your neurologist before going on that med. My

understanding is that Zantac will not help with the

reflux but it will cut the acids down so that if there

is reflux it does not cause pain or damage. The

problem that we had with Zantac was that it was

decreasing the acid in his stomache so much that when

we would hook up his g-tube for the next feed food was

coming back up the tube. Apparently the acid was

slowing the digestion and his stomache was not

emptying.

As of now we are on no meds. I hope that you guys

have better luck with the medications.

Best,

-Glenn

Hi all,

Anyone have some tried and true herbal or home remedies for reflux? I

really don't want to add another medication.

Thanks,

Traci
