What name does OCD go by in your house? With us it is " " - named after the fighting droids in Star Wars. They are dangerous but dumb and often funny when they say things like " roger, " on the com link. ( I know you'd never guess that I have a 10 year old son, right?) Guest guest
Hello, I have always been a big believer in naming the OCD. That way, it separates it out and makes it easier to work on. Many times, I have told my son that I was not " yelling " at him, just his OCD. Somehow that helped us along. Since my son's name is Ray, he decided to name his OCD " Raytard. Guest guest
My son started out calling it " Snag " because he said his mind snagged on a thought and couldn't let go. Now we mostly just use OCD, because the other things we'd like to call it are unprintable!
