Guest guest
, I did see your post on the use of meds with bi-polar. I did read up on the disease and I feel she is manic at this time. She says she has no feelings, no remorse for what she did and it frustrates her that she cannot feel anything. According to her, that is the reason she cuts. She tells me she has a better rapport with the therapist than with the doctor. I am looking into my insurance coverage to see if we can keep the therapist with our current group and a different doctor(he is the only pediatric psychiatrist in the group). Thank you all for the support. I feel since learning about her OCD, my greatest support has been from this group of parents...I feel I am not alone. My spouse is quite traditional and feels there is nothing wrong with her and the " quack " is messing up her head. His solution is to send her to India to take her away from the Western medicine and have his parents treat her with traditional interventions...you can only imagine the battles in our house!
